Junior Japan Bowl is an annual online Kahoot! academic Japanese trivia competition hosted by J-LEARN (Japanese Langauge Education Advocacy and Resource Network) and modeled after the National Japan Bowl. Since their first competition in 2017, which hosted 12 students from 2 schools in Virginia, they have grown to become a national virtual competition hosting 350+ students from 8 states in 2023. Participants are in grades 1-8.

Rebranding

Organizers wanted to phase out mascot and logo (shown above) in favor of more inclusive, fun, positive brand identity.
